Thunder is an Egyptian Arabian we rescued out of Paradise Valley, Arizona. He worked with handicapped children for decades but had become severely neglected since. At the time he was two hundred pounds underweight and had never had his teeth floated, which is part of necessary and routine dental care for horses. We adopted him in July 2009 and he has received proper veterinary care and regained a healthy weight.

He now lives at the Healing Hearts Sanctuary in Wilcox, Arizona. The Thunder Foundation was started in his name, to help horses that are neglected and in need of a permanent new home.
